Battle of the beer

Well David and I have had it with the beer comments from our 3 year old. He started noticing it at 2 and it is most certainly not getting better. The questions and comments are just not going away so the beer is. Check out this conversation I had with his preschool teacher recently.
Teacher-Kristin can I talk to you a minute
Me(thinking oh god whist did he do)
Teacher- today we practiced ordering off of a menu and when I asked Camden what he wanted he said a beer
Me(face turning red)
Teacher- well Camden do you mean a root beer
Camden-no I mean a beer...mommy and daddy won't let me have one
Me-speechless

Visiting Louisville

Camden and I made a trip to Louisville on Tuesday to see my friend Amanda and her son Barrett who is a year younger than Camden. We had a great time although these two sure have different personalities. Barrett is very laid back and quiet and needless to say Camden is his opposite. We had fun eating and spending money none the less. We can't wait to meet barrettes new baby brother in April.....maybe he will be more like Camden. Amanda can only wish ha!

Merry Christmas

I hope everyone had as great of a christmas as Camden,David, and I did. We got to spend time together at home and some in madison with our families. Camden managed to get all of the major toys he wanted plus a few extras:). We are also proud of the fact that we believe we are getting across the real reason for Christmas to him. He even led the family prayer At Christmas eve dinner. Camden blessed us many times this Christmas and we loved hearing him sing all of the Christmas carols ( he knows a ton of them to). Some of his favorites are frosty the snowman, jingle bells, Rudolph the red nosed reindeer, and away in a manger. We also got to eat with our friend Joe at the new restaurant in Madison. Enjoy our pics. Some of the major toys this yeAr were rocking socking robots, toy story 3dvd and action links, x men lapser game, iron man stuff, lapser stuff, wrestling guys, wii resort games.

Sweet Sunday

Yesterday after church we decided to go get Camden a gingerbread house to build. We did this with friends last year and the thing was a disaster that fell apart. So never fear daddy is here and of course it was cake to him. Check out our house.

Cutest Shepard in the world.....

Today Camden performed in his first play at preschool. They did the story of Jesus birth and Camden was one of the three shepards that the angels told to go see the baby Jesus in the stable. I must say he was the cutest shepard that I had ever seen. I was so proud of him and of course my mother, David, and I were sitting in the front row. Camden was a little shyer than I thought he would be(since he usually is not at all ) but I was the most proud mother there. Santa also paid the preschoolers a visit afterwards. It got me thinking how many fun events he will be a part of. Round number two of the preschool peformances is Thursday but the weather is not looking very good! We shall see!

Survived

Well Camden and I (with a little help from Dave's mom) survived 4 nights this week without daddy home. I realized I was most certainly not cut out to be a stay at home mom! I was super happy when he came home and reazlie how much he does each and every morning in getting Camden readyr school so I can get to work at 7:15. We made up for it and had a great family weekend. We celebrated david's dads birthday friday night and then we hung outand watched the IU/UK game. We also made christmas cookies and attended our last Kids Stuf at church. Camden has two christmas programs this week at his two preschools. He is a wiseman in one and that should be interested.......

Fun in the Snow

We had our first snowfall of the winter here in Lexington, and it was a pretty good one. Camden was itching to get out there and throw snowballs, so that is exactly how we spend our Sunday after church. We had lots of fun. Saturday we also hosted our group of "law school" friends over for a Christmas party. we ate tons of food, watched the UK game, and had a white elephant gift exchange. It was super fun. David ended up with 101 cookie cutters (which i loved) and I "stole " a nerf gun for Camden's benefit. We also visited Santa at our clubhouse and made crafts and pottery. The Christmas season has started and we love it!

Thanksgiving 2010 in Florida

This was a special Thanksgiving for us because we decided to go to Florida this year and spend it with my dad. We also decided to drive for the first time because we wanted to spend a night and two days at Disney. It was a fantastic trip from start to finish. Camden did fantastic on the drive both ways and we timed the sleeping perfectly. We had the best time visiting with dad and my grandpa. Camden loves hanging out with his Poppo. He took him golfing, hunted for alligators, we all went to a seafood restaruant and a walked around Tarpin Springs. We also celebrated Christmas early with dad. He got camden some neat gifts, a leapster explorer with two extra games, some clothes, a coat and a savings bond. IT was really special for us to get to go to Disney world this time because we stayed all night for a night there in Orlando which we hadn't done before. It was great we stayed at the Hoops hotel and visited Magic Kingdom and Hollywood Studios. The Christmas decorations were beautiful at Disney. The weather was fantastic the whole trip. We also did the meal plan at Disney and we loved it. We ate with many characters (pooh, tigger, piglet, eeyore, june, leo, handy manny). Camden was a big time rider and really enjoyed the rides versus the shows. Some of his favorites were Splash Mountain, Snow White, Astreiod Launcher, Dumbo, some other roller coaster. he is getting to be such a big boy! What an amazing family trip, we can't wait to go back

Seriously over it...

There are no pictures because no fun has been occuring in our house (that is until we leave today for Florida and Disney world!). Camden has been sick again coughing and hacking continuously story of his little life. We have just been pretty pathetic and anxiously awaiting our trip to Florida for Thanksgiving to see dad and Mickey Mouse! We love taking Camden to Disney World, this will be his 3rd trip and the best yet I am sure! WE are staying in the park for the first time and going to two different parks this year. I wish dad lived closer and I got to see him more but boy do I love him being 1 hour away from Disney World. That way we all get to go a lot because we usually don't spend the night. This year will be special!

Pumpkin Patch and Halloween

We did finally make it to the pumpkin patch the week of Halloween with daddy and got some fun treats and pumpkins. Camden also enjoyed wearing his Halloween fireman costume to preschool (both of them),music class, and trick or treating twice!!!

Way to long...

Well I am very behind on here but we have been pretty busy with Halloween and such. Stacy, Chris, and Riley came to Lexington for Halloween so we trick or treated together. Camden was a fireman and Riley was a ladybug. They had so much fun together. WE also went to Outback to eat and hung out with our mom. She even babysat so we could all go out for adult time. We had an awesome time!! This past weekend we got to see them again as we all made a trip to Madison. We had some more adult time and played around with the kids all day. There is just nothing better. WE are looking forward to our Florida trip in less than two weeks!!
